Portrait Roma: what do users think?

Ahmed Moolla: This has to be the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Very conveniently located. Staff that are efficient and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to assist- even prior to checking in.Highly recommend. Cannot find a single fault

Vanessa Coencas: the portrait is the best in terms of luxury and comfort. The concierges are very friendly and organized my dinners and even last-minute visits for us. They managed to manage everything for us!!

Golden Goose: Pure luxury is an understatement

Arik Sela: Exceptional Hotel in every aspect. Great attention given to every detail. Fine materials, elaborate rooms, beautiful in room amenities, tentative service & amazing staff-everything one can expect from top 5 star hotel. Our home away from home in Rome.

francesco perotto: CordialitĂ  al primo posto

Erik van Maren: One of the best hotels in Europe we ever stayed in. Small, but incredible service and attention to detail. "Private" dinner on the rooftop terrace beats any Michelin star restaurant! Will definitely return!

Ava Gibson: Palazzo Manfredi is an amazing hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 7 days over a week ago and had the most amazing experience here. Our hotel room was beautiful and the view of the colosseum was absolutely breathtaking. The staff were amazing and will go out of their way to make your stay here great. Especially Lorenzo! He was so kind to us and helpful with anything we needed. He should definitely be recognized for his amazing customer service and kindness. The complementary breakfast was spectacular it included free cappuccinos coffee and champagne, the food was amazing as well. Staying here was one of the highlights of visiting Rome. We will definitely come back here to stay when we visit Rome again!!

Chanel Grant: I highly recommend making a reservation for breakfast at Aroma if you’re unable to get in for dinner. The view is simply amazing! Overall, I think the hotel is in a great location and would recommend it. However, we chose to stay in the apartment which I wouldn’t recommend. It was hard to get service when needed and it’s about 400m away from the hotel in a residential area and secluded area so you forgo the luxury hotel feel.

Davide Ciaccia (Allianz Davide Ciaccia): Very nice or dreamlike hotel. The service was just a little arrogant. Otherwise just great!Rooms: Very nice rooms!Nearby activities: Everything accessible by river!Food & drinks: Very good food and drinks

Isabelle Broillet: Magnificent suite with a view of the magical Colosseum.Very caring staff, we had a dream weekend.A big thank you to the entire Palazzo team for your welcome and professionalism. Isabelle Switzerland 🇨🇭

Olwethu-Thando Klaas: room categories to book into, with size differentials:Solo PadBaby DoubleChapter DoubleLoftSuite roomsMy room included brass, copper, and even bronze accents – a taste of burnished Italian elegance from my Tom Dixon lighting, to my bathroom taps.A green velvet headboard against boiserie walls, ties the other elements of the room together beautifully – softening the rugged look of the walls, the shimmer of the light fixtures, and the darkness of all the furniture wood. The environmentally-conscious traveller can even find comfort in the plastic-saving bathroom dispensers filled with organic La Bruket bath products.Remote workers too find themselves comfortably meeting and working at the hotel’s bar-cum-co-working space. It’s a hotel fit to represent the most photographed Italian city of all time, and cement its place as a cool spot that will transcend its current simply “trendy” tag.Sleep comes easy thanks to the pure fluff that is the wide bed, the luxury quality of the linens, and the accompanying plush pillows made for rest and support.*NOTE: You can, however, hear knocks against the wooden floors in the upstairs suite.

Noam Gneezy: Our check-in experience was extremely poor for several reasons and my original review was 2 stars. That being said, management has gone out of their way to try to rectify the situation and to understand what went wrong, which is appreciated. The rooms are small but clean, the shower is spacious and the location is excellent. Would be 5 stars if the person at the front desk had acted more kindly and professionally instead of being dismissive.

J Bindon: Friendly staff. English spoken. Lovely, eclectic decor. My room was not huge, but it had a good size mini- bar, a desk, a safe, a queen bed and a lovely modern bathroom with a large walk in shower. It was 90+F while I was in Rome, so functioning AC was essential. The AC in the room was wonderful! Housekeeping changed the towels twice a day, also important when trying to survive the heat by taking lots of cool showers! Located near lots of great restaurants, a 5 minute walk to the Tiber River, and the bridge across to Trestevere. Close to Piazza Navona. Walking distance to the Roman Forum.

Chaim Kasdan: My wife and I had a fabulous experience over our 4-night stay at Chapter Roma this past week. From the moment we walked in the staff seriously went above and beyond with personalized attention to our needs. The hotel itself has a fresh and chic vibe and the porch off of our room added a relaxing dimension. Thank you to all of the staff members for the A+ accommodations. We hope to return again one day!

Fabio Sciammarella: Professionalism and quality.Truly delicious aperitif.Giacomo... top

David Chad: We stayed here during a quick trip to Rome. We loved the location because it was across the river from Trastevere and also a 20 min walk to all the famous places to visit in Rome. The service was absolutely amazing, and the rooms were also very comfortable including the bed. The A/C worked very well and the beds were very comfortable. We did get a chance to try out the rooftop restaurant, and we enjoyed it. It would be nice if it were open in the afternoon as a more casual retreat to escape and have a cocktail during the hot part of the day.We will definitely consider staying here again the next time we’re in town.Rooms: The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The AC in the room is powerful, and TELUS bathrooms are well maintained, have good water pressure and temperature.Nearby activities: The hotel is close to or a short walk away from most of the main sights in Rome.Walkability: We walked most of our time in Rome and the hotel is in a good spot to be close to attractions, but also not in a loud/crazy environment. We often stopped at the hotel to rest/reset and head out for the second part of the day.

Chaim Follman: This hotel is super nice and clean, and the staff is phenomenal, they were very friendly and helpful. It's in the Jewish ghetto next to the kosher restaurant's, and it's walking distance from about everything there is to see in the main city of Rome.I will definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Villa Spalletti Trivelli Dimora d'Epoca: what do users think?

Claudia Damm-Blum: An absolute insider tip in Rome!We were first welcomed with a Prosecco, which we took in one of the salons.During this time our luggage was not brought to the room. We put ourselves in the moment, discreetly in the hands of this very friendly and courteous and warm staff! The entire villa is one museum in such a well cared for high quality and extremely clean and beautiful setting that indeed one felt immediately welcome and at home. The entire concept is coherent and in line with the historic villa. The outdoor area is designed in a modern and high-quality ambience. In just 5 minutes on foot you can reach the Trevi Fountain, another 10 minutes the Spanish Steps and the Colosseum. The Vatican City can also be reached on foot in 45 minutes, passing beautiful monumental buildings. After an eventful day on the roof terrace, you can end the day and relax in the jacuzzi until 10 p.m. Without exception, right up to the chef, the staff is extremely courteous and friendly! All cocktails and drinks, as well as the minibar, are free of charge if you mix the drink yourself. The selection is extremely varied and with instructions. There is a self service bar in one of the salons, just likeon the roof terrace. The sauna area is also very modern and extremely spacious. The breakfast offers a selection of dishes for everyone, and you can also order wishes from the kitchen. The rooms are very quiet. You can drive directly in front of the hotel by car, a transit permit will be organized by the hotel. You have to ring the bell to enter this special villa, the entrance is an experience in itself. There is a lift, but it is not wheelchair accessible. If you arrive by yourself, park your car in the inner courtyard.

Kim Epple: ! Easy walking to Trevi and Spanish steps

Zack Pianalto: The neatest hotel we've ever experienced! The story behind this place is second to none and the service is top notch. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Andrea who was so gracious with his time telling us about the history which made our stay that much more special. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and complimentary cocktail hours at 5pm are a great touch. We will definitely stay here again next time in Rome!

abhay bhardwaj: It's a very high end place , taking you back to the Roman times and architecture. The hotel was a villa of the Trivoli family and has been preserved and has a very welcoming feel.Rooms: Large rooms with good room keeping and service

Martin JaroĹĄ: Lovely hotel. We felt at home here - something you can't get in those plasticky 5-star chains. Location is perfect - 5 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain, 10-12 minutes walk to the Colosseum. Breakfasts are delicious. Rooms are comparatively huge. We had the "Palatino" suite in the Annex - a spacious room with its own outdoor patio and a bedroom and a well-equipped kitchenette. Service was flawless. We will be back.

Concierge Authenteco: We recently sent two of our travelers to Villa Spalletti and they loved it! They said they have never stayed somewhere so nice! The referred to it their "secret garden", as they felt like they were hidden away! Even though they were in Rome, which is busy, it didn't feel like that when you were here!

bybibi: I stayed for two nights in the Garden Suite. It lacks the convenience of a state-of-the-art hotel, but has the classic beauty and luxury that can only be felt in Europe. I think this place where you can feel the feeling of Italy is much more valuable than hotels that you can see anywhere in the world. If anyone travels to Rome, I hope they stay here for just one day and experience the luxurious classic beauty of Europe.

Alberto Antiga: Once again one of the best hotels in Rome, a breakfast served in a Belle Epoque room with tapestries and works of art, and an aperitif included in the stay in the early 1900s living room. The rooms are very well kept and clean, 50 m from the Quirinale square, you don't hear any noise or disturbance. Go there to feel a little noble too!

jean-marie Quilichini: Villa Spalletti Trivelli in Rome is a hidden gem that provides a unique and unforgettable stay in the heart of the historic center. The hotel's commitment to personalized service is evident from the moment you arrive, with the owner often greeting guests to ensure that every detail of their stay is perfect. The highlight of our stay was lunch in the villa's beautiful gardens, which offered a serene and peaceful ambiance that felt like a journey back in time. The rooms are spacious and elegantly appointed with thoughtful amenities that enhance the guest experience. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is exceptional, and every aspect has been carefully considered to provide guests with the best possible experience. If you are looking for a luxurious and authentic Roman holiday, Villa Spalletti Trivelli is the perfect destination. In conclusion, I highly recommend this private hotel to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay in Rome. The personalized service, stunning gardens, and elegant rooms make Villa Spalletti Trivelli a true gem that will leave a lasting impression.Jm

Sebastian Malmstein: Lovely place, spacious rooms, super friendly staff.

Stella Wright: Beautiful hotel, especially from the outside. Lovely large, very clean rooms. However, it's a shame they don't share the same character as the outside. Our room was all grey and as nice as it was, it would have been nice to have an authentic Rome decor. The bathroom was very spacious and beautiful, but all grey. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was simple but very nice and fresh. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant and the staff who looked after the rooms always greeted us with a smile. A short walk and you will find plenty of restaurants and bars. A 2 minute walk, and you can get the hop on-hop off buses which pass very regular and will take you nearer to all the main attractions.

Lissa Kline: Perfect location and very lovely service but more expensive than equally good service/location spots. Enjoyed the palm court as well. Them room was fine. A bit dated but comfortable. It was loud but that’s not their fault- street is popular and that’s part of the benefit of the location. Our room didn’t cool down, the window wouldn’t close easily, and the toilet ran. It was two nights and we didn’t raise with them so they didn’t have a chance to fix. Ultimately the service was impeccable and location perfect. Having said that not worth the price overall.

roberto marinangeli: Ottimo hotel

Teresa: We go to spend a few days every year, it is very well located, and the attention is excellent.Rooms: They are spacious and very comfortable and have an excellent decoration.

Tony Grebmeier: I had the pleasure of staying at the Hassler Hotel, and they truly understand hospitality. They consistently go above and beyond to ensure guests have an exceptional experience. Despite minor issues, their prompt and attentive handling left us with a positive impression. From the warm welcome to personalized attention, they demonstrate dedication to guest satisfaction. The tastefully designed rooms, top-notch amenities, and breathtaking views enhance the overall experience. Tania Sepenuk: Great place to stay in Rome. Nicely located, friendly staff. I did ask for a replacement of the shower gel twice at the front desk and never got it . We stayed four days . Would stay again and do recommend to other people. Breakfast was real good with a very friendly guy running the buffet. The only complaint I have is that they didn’t care to replace the shower gel . Otherwise everything was great .

Kimano Barrow: Awesome location! Great room! Excellent service! It’s iconic in more ways than one. The views from the roof bar are amazing!Rooms: Our room was very spacious with a view of the Pantheon dome. Really nice shower which is really important to me. The bed was divine!!!Walkability: You can get to everything you may want to see in thirty minutes. Really a wonderful location for reaching the sites by foot. The real location of Julius Caesar’s murder is like two minutes away!!! And that’s just the beginning.Food & drinks: We had a great gourmet meal and drinks on the roof

Taylor McCown: INCREDIBLE HOTEL AND STAY! I travel and stay in lots of hotels but this is one of the best I’ve stayed I. I highly recommend. This is a 5-Star hotel with a Michelin rated restaurant located off a quiet alley that is a short walk to the Pantheon. Most hotels are located in very busy areas and we appreciated this location as it was quieter and had less foot traffic. It was also a great location as so many of the historic sites are in walking distance. The hotel is incredibly clean and maintained. The staff from start to finish were incredibly kind and helpful. They gave tremendous recommendations for great restaurants that weren’t tourist traps and were in quieter areas and the food was amazing. Upon check-in they had a bottle of Prosecco and a delicious mousse cake waiting for us in our room with a hand-written note congratulating us on our anniversary. We also had a tour that left before breakfast opened and they put together a breakfast o-go box for us so we could have breakfast. Staff went above and beyond to help. There is a beautiful terrace with umbrella covered seating that overlooks the city and we really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. We still have two more nights here but couldn’t help but write a review as it has been a great experience. Can’t recommend this hotel enough and can’t imagine staying anywhere else next time we come back to Rome!

Khan Sahib: Taking inspiration from the ancient Roman temples, and from their timeless style, our hotel was carefully designed, and was built using high-quality materials from Rome.At The Pantheon/Iconic Rome Hotel, every elements express a culture inspired by beauty and harmony. Bronze archways, shiny black stoneware, sculpted monoliths in gold marble, and precious metals recall the architecture of the nearby Pantheon.Rooms: yes

Aynur TUĞLU: Close to the city center but in a quiet neighborhood among the trees and flowers, an environment with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, the employees are very attentive, the city transportation is bus, taxi, tram, we walked on foot, you never get tired because the roads are always straight.Rooms: In addition to the normal hotel rooms, the rooms are furnished differently, some rooms have a kitchen, you can cook.Walkability: I told you above

Celine Lytens: , grazie mille.Rooms: Charming, comfortable clean.Nearby activities: Just a 15 min taxi drive from the vibrant city center.Food & drinks: Some delicious walkable recommendations.Noteworthy details: The friendliness of the staff is next level. Also the food drinks are very reasonably priced.

Paul Reid: that were spot on.In particular I Butteri, which has some great steaks, as well as Pizza, Pasta etc...Walkability: The hotel is in a nice, residential area with lots of places to eat locally, within 5-10 mins walk.As are the buses which link you to the main sites of Rome. There's also a couple of supermarkets as well.

Nikki Hurless: The Palm Gallery was an incredible place. The small size and personalized service cannot be beat. The little restaurant terrace and the pool area were so beautiful, I wish I had more time to spend just lounging at the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet and beautiful part of the city, however it is far away from many of the sites of Rome so that is my only downside.

Ci torneremo senza dubbio!

Mari Gevorgyan: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Palm Gallery Hotel, and overall, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I entered the hotel, I was impressed by the warm and friendly welcome from the staff at the reception. They were professional, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries throughout my stay. The hotel itself has a charming and elegant ambiance. The lobby area is beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail in the interior design is evident, with tasteful artwork and stylish furniture throughout.

Karine Hovsepyan: I stayed at Palm Gallery Hotel at the end of April for one week. Luisa and her entire staff were awesome. I felt like staying at home, they were so attentive and welcoming. The location was perfect for me, a very charming and quiet area, meanwhile easy to access to main historic sights by metro, by bus or by taxi. Hotel has a garden and a nice terrace, where you can enjoy your morning cappuccino. I highly recommend and definitely come back ❤️🌺Rooms: Very clean, designed in Italian style.Safety: One of the safest areas of Rome

Darla Crabtree: Amazing staff and quiet neighborhood. We loved it! The property is quaint but also offers amenities like air-conditioning, a pool, and beautiful outdoor seating. Kevin kom: We were in Rome for our 25th wedding Anniversary. The room had a leaky air-conditioning unit. The service was not bad. but it seemed no one did anything above and beyond. Breakfast on the rooftop was very nice.Walkability: It was near most major attractions.

Rachel Frenkel BenHanoch: . They also use kosher milk for the coffee machine,so we enjoyed their great cappuccino. We did not stay there for Shabbat, but they can provide a mechanical key if needed. Super close to the synagogue and the kosher restaurants.Overall the service was EXCELLENT, it was great staying there!Special thanks to the lovely Daniel who did above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

יחזקאל פרנקל - מכון קורות: The truth is that we arrived at the hotel due to a mistake in coordinating with the apartment we booked when we landed in the ghetto in Rome at 3 in the morning, and we had no choice but to look for a hotel. The clerk at the entrance found us an excellent, pampering and well-equipped room, and at breakfast where you can get several kosher ingredients for us, the wonderful Medina and Daniel from the dining room staff simply did everything to make us feel great.

Li Robin: This beautiful and very stylish hotel was the best choice I’ve ever made. Nestled in the Jewish ghetto, minutes away from restaurants and shops. The room was wonderful. Very comfortable. All done with great taste. The Air Condition was a bliss as it was very hot in Rome.Room service was implacable and efficient. It was so kind of the hotel to arrange for us some kosher pastries.I want to express my gratitude to the hotel’s staff who were so caring and helpful when I needed help.Thank you all so much for a short but sweet Roman holiday.Best wishesL. bridged anderson: WE stayed at the Monte Cenci in June after having stayed in 2019 prior to COVID. The reason I chose to stay here again was due to the location, the staff, and the manager, Paolo. Paolo is a wonderful host - ready with a glass of Prosecco or water or coffee for a weary traveler. He will enthusiastically provide suggestions or reservations for lunch, dinner or sights. The hotel's proximity to everything makes it a place I will return to again and again. On the doorstep of the old Ghetto and Teatro Marcello, just steps away from Trastevere, and easy walking distance to all the major sights of Rome. It's the perfect location for sightseeing and dining. The rooms are great - wi-fi is fine, beds are comfortable, and the a/c worked for us wonderfully at night. Our favorite place in the hotel to be was on the rooftop lounge. Great place for a cocktail in the evenings and so nice for breakfast in the am.The staff - on both of our trips the staff were amazing. All the employees are friendly, accommodating, seemingly very happy to be there, and treated us well while we stayed. The location, wonderful staff, and Paolo are all reasons we choose to stay at the Monte Cenci while in Rome. The room is just a place to sleep after enjoying all Rome has to offer, so as long as there is a comfortable bed and air conditioning, it's perfect for me!Thank you Paolo and Staff for making our stay so awesome, and i can't wait to come back to Rome again to visit you!Nearby activities: We did a food tour in Trastevere, a cooking class at Roscioli - maybe two or three blocks from the hotel, and it really is close to everythingWalkability: Easy walking distance to all major sights, including Trevi, Pantheon, Jewish Ghetto, Forum, Collosseum, and just steps away from the bridge to Trastevere

Christopher McCaffrey: We stayed at the Hotel Monte Cenci with our daughter and grand-daughter for five days in June. It was the first trip to the Eternal City for all of us. Right from the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly by various members of the staff who were genuinely interested in getting to know us and help us enjoy our time in Rome. They even asked if we had any dietary restrictions so that they could accommodate us. We didn’t, but thought that was a very helpful thing to ask. We were given “local knowledge” advice about where to eat, places to see, how much time we needed to allocate for taxis to make it in time for tours and to arrive timely at the train station for our day trip to Florence and to the airport when we left. The staff at the Monte Cenci clearly love their city and enjoyed discussing any and all aspects of Rome. Every time we arrived back at the end of the day they would inquire about how our day went and discuss the things we saw and made further recommendations. We are enthusiastic travelers and everyone all the way up the manager were eager to give us insider advice on virtually everything related to our trip. The breakfast up on the rooftop dining area was good and the service from our friendly and enthusiastic waiter was above and beyond our expectations. He not only made sure that we had everything we wanted, he would go back to the kitchen and return with items that were prepared on the spot, like smoothies and hot chocolate for our grand-daughter. By the second day he remembered what each of us liked as far as our coffee and other drink preferences and, after greeting us and wishing us a great day, would ask if we still wanted the same items and would bring them to us without us even having to ask. On a first stay in a busy and sometimes complicated city filled with innumerable points of interest it is easy to feel overwhelmed and the personalized care we received was all we could have asked for and more.

Jacqui Bryson: I highly recommend the Hotel Monte Cenci! The central location is perfect, so we were able to walk everywhere. Our room and the entire hotel was immaculate, and the breakfast served on the rooftop terrace was delicious! We can't say enough about the Manager, Paolo, and his ENTIRE staff. Every person went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay and made us feel like family. We truly miss everyone at the Hotel Monte Cenci and would not stay anywhere else if we return to Rome.Rooms: Immaculate very comfortable

Carolyn Book: , casement triple glazed windows with views onto the surrounding buildings and streets in this quiet enclave. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on the rooftop terrace. In the afternoon the terrace with its lush plantings and awnings is a great place to escape for a quick nap or down time reading a book-also great in the evenings for a glass of wine or an Aperol Spritz. The location is perfect. Every attraction is walkable and the best way, and only way in my opinion, to see Rome is to walk. Rome is an open-air museum full of art and architecture and history. Stroll down streets, take the alley way, follow the delicious scents, and discover a small neighborhood osteria or bar. Shop the shops away from the large tourist attractions. Discover a fountain in a piazza and take the time to see Rome, truly see Rome. The beauty of staying in a small boutique hotel is that the people at the hotel will also share with you their favorite places to eat, shop, sip and walk and share historical tidbits.I cannot find the words to express how wonderful the people at the Hotel Monte Cenci are. They are kind, informative, helpful, funny, welcoming and feel like family. Whether first thing in the morning or late in the evening I looked forward to every interaction with all members of the staff. They make you feel as though you are a family member visiting. Rome is gorgeous. The hotel is beautiful but the people at the Hotel Monte Cenci have beautiful souls that make the stay perfect. I have been home for a week and I truly miss the people of the Hotel Monte Cenci. Thank you all so much for such a beautiful stay.

Lauren Andersen: We loved the location as it was central to all of Rome’s top sites, in a quiet and safe area that we loved. The room was extremely clean and nicely decorated, comfortable bed, soft sheets and towels, perfect sized bathroom and nice shower, cold and efficient AC, stocked mini bar and a complimentary bottle of water on arrival. Our room on the 4th floor had a beautiful private terrace which we absolutely loved- definitely go for this room and treat yourself to this private peaceful oasis after a busy day in Rome!! Plus, the entire team and manager were incredibly kind and provided warm and personalized service throughout our stay, and offered a friendly chat and advice about the city each time we passed reception. Thank you for a perfect stay and making our anniversary extra special. Highly recommend!!

Oskar Arocha: Warm reception at check-in, and good attention from the staff who even showed us the room and every detail. Hats off to a new young man, David, who made us feel very welcome. God willing we will be back! The room is very comfortable and the shower is just the way I like it.
