Sally Morris: I cannot recommend this medical centre too highly. I fractured and badly sprained my ankle in a fall at an archaeological site. The initial treatment I received at a local hospital was not quite complete and done at a regional hospital where the staff did their best but were working under extreme stress and difficulty. As we were about to return to Rome I called FirstMed who fitted me in for an appointment with an Orthopaedic specialist and Xrays the following afternoon just a few hours after I had returned to Rome from Naples. The clinic office and medical staff all speak fluent English, the clinic itself is spotless, modern and very comfortable to wait in. Their equipment is the latest and both the xray specialist and the brilliant doctor I saw were highly qualified and caring professionals. I was a mess emotionally and physically when I came in, but left feeling comforted, properly diagnosed and really well advised and treated. They provide proper detailed written reports and give you your xrays for your doctor at home to follow up. My heartfelt thanks to everyone here who helped me. This is the “go to” clinic for any tourist in need of medical care while in Rome - you will be in safe hands here. The fees were also very reasonable and they are very transparent about costs. Humane and lovely people.

He was an experienced and trustworthy doctor who dispelled all my worries about conceiving and giving birth in a foreign country. Apart from the routine check-ups, he always answered my emails or texts in a timely manner. While I was in the hospital for cesarean section, he came to see me every day to ask how I was recovering. His visit was especially important because I did not speak the language of most of the nurses in the hospital. My sincere thanks to Dr. Naumann.
