There is a lot to discover here and the Trajan's markets do not have to hide behind the other sights. Hugo Augusto: Museum that I highly recommend. There are lots of things to see, so go early and reserve the entire afternoon for the visit. At the end of the afternoon, continue the visit to the other forums that are free and outside the museum. In the museum shop there are fantastic books that help a lot to understand everything better through 3d illustrations. See the photo of one of the books in the store that I recommend.

Martial DEFOY: Small museum which, however, highlights the work of Leonardo da Vinci through several themes. The audioguide, in French, of good quality, allows a pleasant visit. And some machines can be tested. It's interesting. Note the quality of the reception of the people in the museums... I note it because, in Rome, this is not always the case... And, when it is, it is very pleasant.

I think we may have missed some bits, but I am sure we could have asked for directions as there were a lot of staff around.The cafe on the terrace is lovely, great place to stop for a coffee - just need to show your ticket to go back in!Some really interesting exhibits and felt like we received a real education on Roman history, well displayed and well communicated.We went under the Roma pass - so very good value!Would recommend!
