Géraldine Sonderer: Delicious but... very expensive!!
Rita Bennani: Locale molto ben tenuto. Prodotti a vista e molto buoni. Locale pulito, personale gentile, accurato e bella presenza. Consiglio la visita.
Lex: I will probably regret posting about this place, but if you’re staying here for longer, this is the place to go. Try their dried pasta, prepared lasagna, ricotta cheese, prosciuttos and all else. If you are in need of a lunch on the go, grab pizza bread and a few slices of ham. This will beat most food you get elsewhere. Locals shop here on daily bases. Tourists go to heaven at every bite.
kukang: came here to specifically to purchase balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. we were offered a tasting experience that helped us narrow our selections - the staff who helped us was very knowledgeable. great selection of wines, hams and more!
Salvatore Rindone: Grande qualita
Kevin Custodio: or do some groceries. Very friendly service.
Silvia Mora: Amazing ham!
Manuel Rubio: Amazing product and very nice service
Michael Newton: Delicious and friendlyDelicious, employees were friendly
piotr misiaszek: Wow! What a food boutique! Eating here at Volpetti is exciting. Tagliere, tre sugi e tre pani were out of this world, this is ‘must visit‘ place on the map of Rome.

Luigi Quagliarini: Castoni is part of the history of Rome like the Bertozzini perfumery, a pity that the Franchi delicatessen is no longer there, the three shops were side by side. Wonderful memories coffee perfumes suppli
Dorota: Very nice service, coffee, drinks and snacks on site. You can buy everything that is traditional in Italy, from sweets to cheeses, meats and wines. I recommend
Francesco D'Eramo: Excellent delicatessen shop. It hasn't changed but the prices have gone up like everything else
Giancarlo Peroni: I always find the best on the market.
Giuseppe Pagano: Castroni is the place where you can find the best in terms of coffee, tea, honey, jams, chocolate, infusions, spirits, spices, sauces and international gastronomic specialties. The best.
Jose Benito: Filled with a selection of excellent quality Italian products. They make a coffee inside that is spectacular. Very good treatment by the staff.
Daniela De Angelis: Prodotti di alta qualità , personale disponibile, cortese e professionale.
Antonio Pescetelli: The coffee house but there are also other delicacies.Great prices and superior product quality.
Luisiano Fiore: L'unico posto dove prendere il caffè a Roma.
DIMITRIS KASTRITIS: All fresh. Institution in Prati.

Virginia Garavaglia: CONSIGLIATISSIMO, vasta gamma di prodotti rigorosamente pugliesi e prodotti in Puglia, ottimi prezzi, ottimi prodotti, personale gentile e accogliente.

Angelo Di Giorgio: Delicious products, combined with the extraordinary kindness and refined competence of the managers.Highly recommended.

emilie ALEX: How big is that!It is certain that there is a choice and that the products are of high quality.Tested: tratorria, the ravioli are very good, the vendor/cheese producer offered us ricota and their mozzarella is delicious. Great fruit and veg section.Very good tomato sauces, wines and other products. The prices are high but the quality is there 😋
Emi Zip: I don't have much to say in this second review, I just confirm the positive notes of the first.Appreciation ad vitam æternam☺I keep the positive note and leave the 5 stars, even if lately, the fruit and vegetable department has dropped a bit in quality, and unfortunately the prices have risen considerably.Despite the always high prices, there are several excellent post-Christmas offersVegetarian options: VarietyKid-friendliness: Healthy foods
Oron ambar: A huge place of Italian food products, there is no raw material that is not found there. We ate at the restaurant on the second floor and it was one of the tastiest places we've been to in Rome. The Caprese salad was the tastiest we've ever tasted and the pesto pasta was perfect.

Stella Marina di Sabbato: The Roman meatballs were the real stars of the lunch! Delicious sauce, delicious fried polenta, side dish of buttered spinach with pieces of long-aged Parmesan make the perfect match! The Carbonara with Benedetto Cavalieri's spaghettoni was good but not great! It really wasn't tasty ! Quite creamy, bacon crispy in the right place but overall the flavors were not amalgamated. The cold cuts are very good, the truffle mortadella melts in your mouth. The courtesy entrance with sheep's ricotta, pesto and tomatoes in oil is delicious. Very tasty bread basket. Very good fruit ice cream. Good espresso cannoli. Medium-high price.
Claudia Tambasco: Great food
christian anders: Simplye the best restaurant experience you could wish for in Rome. We also booked well in advance, and there were some delays in the changeover, mainly I expect because noone wants to leave. Don't bully the staff, just be patient. Food, service was stunning. Salvador, of the moustache and artistic namesake matched heavenly food with local wine. The carbonara and the oxtongue raviolo was incredible.
Dean Scarlett: Had an amazing lunch at Roscioli Salumeria while in Rome. I can understand why it is Conde Nast rated and has the reputation it does. We sat at the bar counter, directly in front of the bar and deli area, which added to the fun and energetic vibe of our experience. Everything we had, food and drink, was top shelf. Of particular mention was the all'matriciana.. the best that I have ever had, anywhere. Our bartender, also our server, was fun and excellent. Highly recommend!!
Kevin Ghim: You cold go to one of the many ‘pasta e pizza’ places around Campo di Fiore, but if you do, you’ll be missing out on one of the best Roman cuisines. What makes Roscioli special is that it highlights food beyond what tourists might want, but real food that everyday Romans would eat. It’s because Roscioli is a deli that serves the neighborhood as well as many visitors who have heard about its amazing dishes. We were so impressed that we ate there twice out of our four nights in Rome. We tried the Tonno Rosso, Caponeta, Amatriciana, Cacio e Pepe, Popette, Pepperoni - all super delicious recommended by our waiter Ricardo. I can’t recommend Roscioli enough!
Adrian yc: Great dining experience!!!

Gina Neumann: Staying at the Casale Sonnino outside of busy and crowded Rome was a marvelous experience. We enjoyed our mornings and evening at the Casale and the property was enormous and private and stunning views every direction. We enjoyed the nearby town of Frascati with great restaurants and shopping and beautiful architecture. George Treves and his sister Claire really enhanced our trip by helping us plan our days activities. I would highly reccommend this property if visiting Rome and nearby towns, we had the most charming time in May 2022 and already planning to visit and stay again.
Erica De Mane: At the advice of several chef friends, this winter I purchased a can of Casale Sonnino's extra virgin olive oil. It's gorgeous stuff. They also suggested I book a visit to their villa in Lazio, saying how beautiful and welcoming it is. The photos look amazing. I can't wait to take this trip.
Caryn Rubenstein: . Yet we were able to experience life in the Italian countryside, seeing small towns such as Castel Gandolfo, Nemi and Frascati where we had the most delicious gelato. The fried croissants at the Jolly Bar in Grottaferrata that George took us to were to die for!During our stay we decided to drive to Florence, to see specifically the David. We thought to take the train, but found out for the eight of us it would cost too much for a day trip. So instead, we piled into our van, set WAZE and off we went. We found parking just steps away from the center of Florence. It was extremely easy. Highly recommend driving! Some of us ventured south to Pompeii for the day and that was about a two-hour drive each way. Well worth the trip.If you are looking for a new and different way to experience Italy, this is the way to go. The Casale is perfect for families and friends who want to share a memorable experience. You will not be disappointed.Arrivederci!
Deborah Mitchell: I have been traveling to Italy for over 20 years and count my recent visit to the Casale Sonnino Italian Villa as one of my favorite vacations. The villa, a family home, is beautiful on the inside and out. Only thirty minutes to Rome by train, having a car will allow you to visit the Casale's quaint nearby villages. Hosts Claire and George are terrific. Their extensive knowledge of the area's history, restaurants, shops and sites was spot on, allowing our travel group to have an exceptional experience every day for almost two weeks. The trip was one for the books. La villa italiana Casale è eccellente
Andrea Sperling: I stayed at the Casale with my daughter and a lovely group of culinary professionals and their friends/partners. Felt so at home in this beautiful old house with modern amenities. There were even a couple of adorable dogs greeting us every time we drove up to the house. Claire and her brother George were such wonderful hosts!
michelle smith: Gorgeous. Well kept and with a wonderful atmosphere. Amazing bilingual host love it
Patricia Taylor: Beautiful experience. Will definitely return !!!!
Maggie White: We hosted our wedding here in June 2018, and the spot was absolutely perfect. We had around 50 guests, and set it all up outside. Guests were also able to go inside to relax or up on the terrace for a great view. Not only that, but Claire was able to help so much in any part of planning we needed, and while we were there George would do anything to make sure things went smoothly. Such great people as hosts who truly care about their guests! Our guests were saying it's the best wedding they've ever been to, and nothing would top it. It was intimate but fun!We also had 8 people stay at the Casale which really helped with fine tuning wedding details and not having to stress about leaving. The breakfast they set up is delicious and in a beautiful open room. We were all very comfortable and honestly wished we could've stayed more. We highly recommend it and hope we can return in the future!
Russell Schaub: I stayed at the Casale Sonnino with my wife and three children in the month of August. The villa was more than what we could have dreamed of, a beautiful and comfortable house surrounded by vineyards. From the house we had beautiful views of the vineyards and olive trees and the countryside. We felt at home, greeted by the owner and manager George Treves and the staff who cooked the best dinner we had during our two week stay in Italy. Breakfast was elegantly set in the dining room. You could also eat or relax at a wonderful table outside on the front patio underneath a natural grape vine canopy. The rooms were nice. There was also a rooftop area with awesome views of the surrounding area. While staying at the Casale Sonnino we made several day trips to medieval towns including Orvieto and Civita di Bagno Reggio, which the kids really enjoyed. We also went several times to nearby Albano Lake in Castel Gandolfo where we all relaxed and swam. Once we went to this great family-style restaurant right on the lake afterwards - it was a great way to end the day. We experienced the real Italy at the Casale Sonnino. I highly recommend it.
Dina Adsetts: Wonderful way to experience Rome! The Casale is spacious and comfortable. It is a quick inexpensive train ride into the center of Rome, and it’s equally easy to explore the local towns nearby with a car or driver. Great place to stay for a family vacation!
Ellen Evensen: September 2017 was my third stay at the Casale Sonnino and it was like a "coming home" experience. The home is welcoming and clean, George and his staff make every effort to make one's stay a memorable experience. The location is convenient to Rome by car or train. On a clear day you can see the dome of St. Peter's Basilica twinkling in the distance. Would go back again and again.
Nancy Howell: I go to the Casale Sonnino every year with some painting students and it's the best 2 weeks of my year. The staff is warm, helpful and knowledgeable. Plus the food is the best anywhere!!
Denise Quinn: My family and I stayed at Casale Sonnino for 10 days at the end of August to celebrate our daughters Sweet 16. There were 6 of us, my husband, myself and 4 teenagers. Everything was perfect, Claire and George guided us every step of the way with recommendations and suggestions to help make our trip perfect. In addition the staff at the Casale go above and beyond. They made sure we had everything we needed and more. The breakfast each day and the Sweet 16 celebration dinner that were prepared for us at the Casale was just perfect and absolutely delicious. The grounds are very well maintained. There is plenty of room and the location of the Casale was great. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for making our trip so wonderful and memorable.
Lilly sestito: not to mention the rooftop deck.Speaking of that, if you've never experienced Rome over New Year's Eve, you wouldn't believe it!! We thought we would be enjoying a view of maybe one fireworks display, nope, it was as if the entire city was ablaze!! All we could do was laugh!! We couldn't believe what we were witnessing!! It was unlike anything we had ever experienced!! I would highly recommend this incredible home, I could go on and on, there is so much to see and do. Make sure when booking, if you need a tour guide to ask about Simeone, not only a world class photographer, but the most knowledgeable and interesting tour guide around!!Thank you Claire for helping us plan an incredible trip, and George for being a most gracious host!!
