Delphine Lagrange: is worth it! It was great in every way. Home cooking, pasta made in front of customers. Hearty and delicious dishes
Gabriele Tartaglia: If you are in Rome, you can't not go here, spatial food and a home environment. What more could you want. The tiramisu in conclusion is heavenly.
A K: Great pasta, crowded, a bit of a wait for a seat in the restaurant, but it's worth it.
el fahem Rahma: Nice pasta, I highly recommend 😍🍝

commanderwaffle: Beat my expectations by far never had a true Italian carbonara so it blew me away with the bacon crunch and the thickness of the sauceThe bolognese and meatballs were the best I had and now I can’t go backThe Clam gnocchi however was nice but they used small clams I usually love clams but the small clams held zero flavor and were bland and were a pain to eat and eat aroundOverall still a very good restaurant
yaron sharet: A boutique place, a pleasant and family atmosphere... and the pasta... AmalaPrice about 15 euro per personThe staff is warm and pleasant to talk toVegetarian options: No problem for vegetarians and vegans
DIEGO TEVAR HERRERA: We ordered several types of pasta on two occasions, lunch and dinner. The taste of the pasta, sauces, cheeses, bacon and all the incredible ingredients, great quality, very friendly and close service, a very good atmosphere. The dishes are quite large. Also, despite being July and very hot, they have very good ventilation and it was cool. When I come back to Rome, I will eat here for sure, the best we ate in our 4 days. 100% recommendable.

PATIENCE WILCOX: . The ambiance is no nonsense and casual. On our 3 week trip this was the ONLY restaurant we ate at twice. We had almost every pasta on the menu, just to try it … because our minds were blown. The amatriciana, bolognese, carbonara … even the beautifully simple pomodoro are all dishes to be savored. My husband
Alla prossima volta, saluti da AnagniI went to this small, somewhat hidden restaurant. There is a bit of a queue to get in, but if you want to taste good pasta, this is the right place. The restaurant mainly makes pasta, but also salads, main courses and desserts. Traditional Italian pasta cooked properly. I personally tried the tonnarelli alla carbonara and as Italian I can only recommend this place.
Lauren B: So so tasty. Best carbonara we had in Rome.Food: 5/5 …
Sumitra Nair: The main thing that stood out: the line outside. Even though we arrived at 7 30 on a Monday evening, we waited for over an hour before entering. This was due to the place only being open twice a week, on Sundays and Mondays. However, it was well worth as the pastas were some of the best we had in Rome. Every dish served was crafted with top quality ingredients and refined technique that doesn’t skimp on the flavour while displaying the masterful thought which went into it. The place has various kinds of pastas to satisfy everybody, such as rich, light, meat heavy or vegetarian dishes. Communication isn’t an issue, as all workers are fluent in english, while also being very friendly. Self service is required to make sure you receive your food, with the place following a system where customers collect their food at the front when they hear their number being called. The place opens at 7 and closes by 9 30, so many waiting outside may not even be able to enter. I would suggest that those who are eager to dine here should arrive before 7 45 to maximise their chances of getting a table in this gem of a location.
Alberto Conde: We were encouraged to try this restaurant thanks to the good reviews it had and the truth is that it did not disappoint. After waiting about 15 minutes to have a space available we were able to sit down. We tried the dish of the day, which in this case was a leg of lamb with baked potatoes and some spaghetti Bolognese. For dessert, homemade tiramisu that I would put in my top 3 in the city. €21/pax.
Ryan Gelbrich: This is not a full service restaurant. This is a local stand with seating and we loved it. Order at the counter, then to your seat. Our pasta was incredible. This was recommended by a local guide because it was authentic Italian, not a tourist trap. We loved the pomodoro and pesto pasta that we ordered. My son is vegan and the pomodoro was a favorite for him.
Etienne Poirier: It's hard to imagine better ravioli than the ones we ate tonight at al42.A big thank you to the owner for his warm welcome, just before the holidays!

Christine O: We had the lasagna, carbonara, eggplant parmigiana — everything was very good. The location was convenient and was slightly hidden on a small side street. It was perfect and wasn’t overcrowded with tourists. Service was top notch. The price was similar to the US, but pricey for Italian standards. Each dish was ~€18-22.
Aaron Gao: Service was the tipping point thanks to an older gentleman who dressed to impress with a smile on his face radiated Roman pride!I am Chinese American, look nothing like him and speak only a handful of Italian words. He showed me how much he loved his job to provide exceptional dinning experience for all mankind. Maybe I am nostalgic... Don't we need more of his kind in our world today?
Stefanía Rodríguez: Beautiful atmosphere and exceptional service. I would come back!Vegetarian options: Cacio e pepe and fiori di zucca as a first course.
SR DA: and the day’s special of truffle pasta. Even the tomatoes on the side were delicious! Since I was solo, I didn’t want to order a whole bottle of the Frascati Superiore that I wanted to try. The staff offered to let me taste something similar if I would like it. I did, and it went very well with my meal. I’m sad I didn’t have space for dessert.I made a reservation and was seated immediately. Please do this when you can—I think it really helps restaurants prepare to serve people well. The service was impeccable. Very friendly, professional and polite. I actually felt taken care of—which seems rare in touristy districts. I will certainly be back to try other dishes.Thank you very much for the delightful meal and warm hospitality.
Danny Walls: We booked based on reviews and location trying to stay in walking distance of our hotel. We wanted less touristy and more authentic. This beautiful restaurant is and oasis in the city! Tucked in alley with no annoying waiters waiving you in to sit down, many will pass by this hidden gem. Our hosts Leonardo and Franceso were wonderful and extremely helpful, even providing advice on where to find the best coffee. The food was great ! Especially the tagliolini with lobster, WOW ! The portions were just right and the service was top notch. If you want a real Italian dining experience without the tourist crowds, put this place on your list and reserve a table in advance, you will not be disappointed !

AMHRlclips: Typical restaurant that is what it sounds like: a complete culinary marvel. His specialty: Carbonara, a complete Italian delicacy.Other notable dishes are the Caprese and the buffalo pizza.Speaking of customer service, I can say that they offer an unbeatable service that is very difficult to find in the center of Rome, everyone is very good but especially our waitress Eva, very helpful, friendly and fun.And if we talk about the place, it is very cosy, rustic and with those airs that take you to northern Italy. It is clear that when I return to Rome, I will return to this restaurant. ☺️
Victoria Clark: Ended our last night in Rome on such a high. Beautiful food met with the best service. Rome is so busy at the moment and I imagine their staff are exhausted, our waitress went above and beyond and made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend the carbonara! Really good prices too. We only had to line up for about 10 minutes, moves super fast! Anyway just go!!Also our waiter deserves a fat pay rise xx

Lo Ga: Good experience, pasta and wine are fine!
Viteos: It is a very spacious place where you can dine very quietly, without the bustle of tourism. The treatment of the staff is very close and they explain the menu in detail. The pizzas and salads are made with quality products and are tasty.Recommended if you are looking to eat well and be calm, being one step away from Plaza Venecia and without queues.
Maxime GALLAIS: TOP !! Chic place well decorated industrial type! Very good pasta!!! Good value for money!!
Veronica: I like seafood pasta it tastes really good. My bf had ravioli it tastes good but it was too little compares to others we see in the review. And also the air conditioner was not working at all.
Virginie BARNAY: Excellent, very good value for money.
Felix Auger: Nice ambiance and solid food. Would recommend for folks looking to step out of the Rome sun to enjoy a social meal with friends.

Sergio Bonacci: Recommended dishes Cacio E Pepe
Celia: It was really good, I took the tomato eggplant pasta. The server was super nice!I just thought that the service was chained and that we had to rush a bit to eat.I recommend.
Domenico Tropeano: Highly recommended restaurant.Very kind waiters, nice location and excellent food.
Lautru Marion: We came at 12 noon, no waiting, we were able to choose our table.Friendly, smiling staff. The waitress made me taste two wines to help me choose.Perfect setting, quiet street in the shade, far from the tourist crowd.Pizza margherita good, pasta carbonara also very good but a little too peppery for my taste. Excellent panna cotta.I recommend !
Eva H.: .The only downside is that the restaurant gets very crowded very quickly, and the waiters seem to push a bit to finish the dishes quickly so that other people can be seated.
jordi blazquez: Good food and very good value for money. Located in a little corner in the center of Rome where there is not excessive noise.Highly recommended.
York Theisinger: Everything fine. Very quick courteous staff.Unfortunately, the fries came on the second evening only an hour after the main course, although we had asked for them for the second time.
