Colosseum: what do users think?

Dawson Lemoine: Very pretty monument, I advise you to take tickets for the forum

Bella Smith: . Having a local guide explain the significance of the different aspects of the colosseum really makes it more meaningful! Buying tickets in advance really cuts down the long line time! Take a reusable water bottle!!! They have FREE water fountains inside and right outside the colosseum! DON’T BUY THE WATER FROM THE PEOPLE ON THE STREET! Highly overpriced when the fountains have COLD WATER literally for free right there!

Tulio Lisboa: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Yes

David F: The Colosseum is a place you just have to visit in my opinion. Of course, there are a lot of tourists and you walk there and sweat in the heat. But somehow it's still worth it. Pictures cannot do this place justice. Hard to even take in how big it is. One cannot help but be amazed by what ancient man managed to achieve.Having said that, I can strongly recommend taking a guided tour with priority in the queue if you are going to visit the Colosseum. It is worth its weight in gold to have it explained to you, partly where you look, but also what you should imagine how it once looked.

Deb Ch: It is essential to buy your tickets in advance. Otherwise count 1 to 2 hours in line. We arrived at 9:30 a.m., we were able to buy tickets at 10:30 a.m. and our visit slot was at 11:30 a.m. Otherwise beautiful, well worth the detour. Asaf Shraga: It’s wow 🤩

Bogdan Marcelan: Some places you visit every time you are in Rome. Of course, this also applies to the Spanish Steps and the fountain below them. The stairs, as well as the fountain, are very beautiful. As with most interesting places, there are too many people here.

Muhammad Nouman Awan: Outstanding place

Rome Guides - Guide di Roma: what do users think?

Norah T: We booked a City Center Tour with Rome Guides. Communication in advance was quick and clear. The tour itself was one of the best we've had on trips. Vincenzo was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller, there was a lot of information but because it was told so vividly it really stuck. In short: definitely book a tour with Rome Guides!

Gurvir Singh Sandhu: BEST GUIDES IN ROME!!We did 2 tours with this group, 1- Borghese Gallery & 2- Capitoline Line, both tours were excellent 👍 The guide, Martina, was excellent and able to explain the details of the tours clearly. Martina made our trip truly memorable and really exciting. 100% recommended for family trips.

Fina Benlliure: Thanks to the two guided tours that we did with Martina in the Colosseum and the Vatican museums, we were able to understand and captivate ourselves with the origins and evolution of Rome. Three hours each, the three of us were hoping they wouldn't end, thanks Martina.

Sabrina Corradetti: Vincenzo is a wonderful guide.. We repeat, wonderful! Passionate and exciting, he acted as our guide in the Eternal City, Rome, and it was a unique emotion. He really brings Rome back to life with his words and gestures. At the coliseum we fought gladiators and in the Vatican we could feel Michelangelo painting the sistine chapel. The places we visited without him didn't taste the same and for this reason we decided to return to Rome again soon and without any doubt we will call him and his association as guides.Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.Highly recommended!!!Glory and Sabrina

Vittoria Chiarelli: I go on Rome Guides tours on a regular basis. I really enjoy them.

Giusy Bernabei: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsivenessbeautiful night visit to the imperial forums ..... Stefano super super there are no guides like him. He knows everything about everything he is witty brilliant and prepared I am happy to have known him now I don't enjoy it anymore if he is not the guide

Paola De Marinis: Tour of Criminal Rome…….. looking for new clues that our Vincenzo knows how to stimulate!I participated in this tour and I recommend it to all those who want to discover a "blacker" RomeCongratulations to Vincenzo for the profound sociological, psychological and criminological analysis he carried out in choosing the crimes he told us about!

Francesco Vullo: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,ValueI have had the pleasure of doing multiple tours of Rome with their guide. Each time is a unique experience and I recommend it to anyone!Services:Private tours,Group tours

Io Me: Positive:Professionalism,QualityWonderful visit of "Criminal Rome", 8 news stories of the last century and a half between Piazza Vittorio and Piazza della Repubblica: Words are not enough to compliment Vincenzo for the splendor of this visit.Service:Group tours

mario bartoli: Vincenzo and Martina, two nice and very prepared people.Crime Tour, a truly different experience than what they usually offer, but mysterious and fascinating. With Vincenzo's mastery in acting it seems to live those tragic moments of black news... a perfect mystery!!Service:Group tours

Magdalena vakulova: Couldnt recommend more. Our guide Nick was amazing, engaging and passionate about the Roman history and history as such, which translated to the whole group as well. We have booked the tour day in advice at 11, might be too hot, but Nick made sure that most of the time we stand in shade and has plenty of places to refill water through the tour. You will learn a lot about the Rom history with so much more background and interesting anecdotes. This was our first free walking tour and its safe to save that and it was 100% worth it. Highly recommend. The 5/5 tripadvisor review is true to its statement!

Andrea Bacinska: We enjoyed the tour very much. We booked two days in advance and all the communication with them was very good. The tour guide helped us put together different parts of Italian history by walking us around some key places and landmarks in Rome as well as some cool streets.

Simone Masala: Trajan's Column, a masterpiece of Roman art and architecture, embodies the epic of Trajan's military campaigns. This imposing and elegant monument captures visitors' attention with its refined visual storytelling and historical significance, offering a fascinating journey into the glorious past of the Roman Empire. The detailed architecture of Trajan's Column is extraordinary in its realism and complexity. The sculpted reliefs around the column visually narrate the conquest of Dacia by the Roman legions, revealing the art of storytelling through architecture. The intricate details of the costumes, weapons and battle scenes transport visitors to the ancient world, providing a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in history. The central location of Trajan's Column, in Piazza Colonna, underscores its importance as a historical landmark in the heart of Rome. Surrounded by historic buildings and monuments, the square offers a fascinating fusion of past and present. Visitors can admire the column from various angles, appreciating the grandeur of the work and its visual impact. However, the possibility of approaching and examining the details of the reliefs may be limited due to the height of the column and the protective barriers. For a more detailed appreciation of the sculptures, it may be helpful to provide information panels or guides explaining the scenes depicted. In summary, Trajan's Column is an extraordinary monument that offers a fascinating window into the history and art of ancient Rome. Its detailed architecture and central location make it a must-do experience for anyone wishing to explore the Golden Age of the Roman Empire. Despite the possibility of additional information for a deeper understanding, Trajan's Column remains an eternal symbol of Ancient Rome's greatness and creativity.

We will find there interesting art collections and Bernini's burial place. Inside the Basilica we will find several Polish accents. In the Sistina Chapel on one of the bas-reliefs there is the Polish king Zygmunt III, and in the Paolina Chapel we can see Saint Kinga, the wife of the Polish prince Bolesław the Chaste, on the fresco. It is said that John Paul II liked to stay in this Basilica very much. Free admission.
