    Christine O: We had the lasagna, carbonara, eggplant parmigiana — everything was very good.The location was convenient and was slightly hidden on a small side street. It was perfect and wasn’t overcrowded with tourists. Service was top notch. The price was similar to the US, but pricey for Italian standards. Each dish was ~€18-22.

I did, and it went very well with my meal. I’m sad I didn’t have space for dessert.I made a reservation and was seated immediately. Please do this when you can—I think it really helps restaurants prepare to serve people well. The service was impeccable. Very friendly, professional and polite. I actually felt taken care of—which seems rare in touristy districts. I will certainly be back to try other dishes.Thank you very much for the delightful meal and warm hospitality.

    Danny Walls: We booked based on reviews and location trying to stay in walking distance of our hotel. We wanted less touristy and more authentic. This beautiful restaurant is and oasis in the city! Tucked in alley with no annoying waiters waiving you in to sit down, many will pass by this hidden gem. Our hosts Leonardo and Franceso were wonderful and extremely helpful, even providing advice on where to find the best coffee. The food was great ! Especially the tagliolini with lobster, WOW ! The portions were just right and the service was top notch. If you want a real Italian dining experience without the tourist crowds, put this place on your list and reserve a table in advance, you will not be disappointed !

After the meal, we felt that we would be guaranteed a good tiramisu, and we were not disappointed. The flavor and consistency put all other tiramisu I’ve had to shame.

    Ellen Morgan: The food was top tier! For the main course I’d give a special mention to the vongole and the lamb chops, as well as the Black Sea food pasta. All good was very tasty and also was served quickly! The desserts were incredible and homemade, we had the tiramisu, chocolate fondant and crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e which all were some of the best we’ve had. The service was okay don’t get me wrong, however the atmosphere was quite stressed and the servers had a lot to do which was quite apparent. There also was very slim opportunity’s to sit outside, but the downstairs area was fine and decorated with lovely art!

The interior is minimalist modern which is a fun contrast to the ancient street. And they played smooth funky hip hop that I had never heard which was also an interesting contrast to Rome in general . We chose to the do the chef’s choice 3 course tasting and it was on another inventive level. We’ve lived in NYC for 30 years and this was better than most food experiences I’ve had back home. If you love wine they are experts and the service was impeccable . We ordered one dessert to try and they brought us three! Each one better than the next in interesting combinations. They also used wild strawberries and interesting herbs 
 the waiter explained that the chefs forage once a week for fresh ingredients. Truly a sublime unforgettable dreamy experience after a super hot day in Rome. Thank you!

We started with the Frito Misto, which had an amazing fried lemon cream! I also had th octopus, which was flavorful although a bit chewy for my personal preference.The staff is wonderful and helped round out the experience for the evening.

Inside, you find the typical Italian decor, with a lot of wines and small tables. The personal is very, very nice, friendly, and they pay attention to your needs even if the restaurant is full.In terms of food and wine, try to always request the special menu of the day or to look at the list outside with the special things “fuori di menu”. I recommend you to try that, because you won’t regret it. But anything you want from their menu will be full of taste and just special. For the dessert and pistachio lovers, I highly recommend to try crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e al pistacchio!!! This is the main reason why I always want to go back there! If you have some hours in Rome or a night with no plans, plan to have a lunch or a dinner at Ditirambo and enjoy it to the fullest!
