Hotel Columbia: what do users think?

Dieynaba Kane: Stayed for 5 days with 2 kids and couldn’t love this hotel more! Starting with the very friendly staff, who were so patient and adorable with my children. Literally all of them from front desk, breakfast staff and housekeeping were very nice! Our room was very clean. The location is also perfect for visiting Rome and within a reasonable walking distance to major tourist attractions. Also, the restaurant next door had the best pasta we’ve tasted while in Rome! Overall, lovely hotel and great location.

Anne Matthews: Rooms were all unique with good Aircon- ours had a lovely vaulted ceiling and Murano chandelier. The bathroom was very clean. We had an injury with one of our party and the owner and all staff were incredibly kind, helpful and accommodating. The rooftop breakfasts were a genuine delight and again with very helpful staff. Location was fabulous for transport.

Emma C: and they resolved it very quickly for us! The rooftop breakfast / bar is beautiful. The room kept cool on the hot days and was always very clean. Wonderful location, walking distance to many popular sights.

N. K.: The most beautiful hotel! 😍Everything was great!Cozy and family atmosphere, fabulous terrace and interior, great location!Very kind staff always ready to help.I was very satisfied and would like to return!Molto grace! ❤️26.05-31.05.2023Rooms: Authentic interior, each room is unique, and Murano glass chandeliers are a real treasure😍Nearby activities: Everything is very close - Colosseum, Trevi, Pantheon. Restaurants and shopping nearbyWalkability: Very convenient location! Everything is within walking distance, as well as 2 metro stations and buses nearby

Krista Stenberg: Found this place online, and it was such a gem. The staff, especially Dounia, was very kind in answering any questions we had and giving us resturant suggestions. The hotel is small but located in a great spot for different parts of Rome and not too far from Trevi Fountain and other main areas in Rome. If you are looking for a more quaint and authentic stay in Italy, this is the perfect spot. But if you're looking for a more modern and newer location, then this is not for you. One thing to note is this is an older building so wifi and usage of outlets for hairdryers is not the best but again staff and workers are all so friendly.

Hans H: , from where you can visit the sights by bus, metro or even on foot. The room was spacious and tidy. Every day the bed was neatly made with new sheets. Towels were renewed every day. The breakfast on the roof terrace is definitely a good start for the day with very friendly service and fresh food. The hotel exudes a classic atmosphere.

Charlene Strome: This hotel is a boutique hotel very quant..great location..very friendly staff.. bathrooms are small and shower didn't drain well but all in all it was a great place to stay..breakfast was continental but was refreshed frequently and they had a lovely roof top patio with great Wi-Fi and you could get a drink after a day of touring..really good coffee and cappuccino ..

Katrin Soldan: Thanks to the lady from reception

Ellen Kimco: Hello all10 years ago we booked a room and got room 101The elevator was too small for 2 suitcasesThen I had to laugh terribly because there was 1 suitcase with 1 personWhen I read this reaction from the people, my mouth falls open in surprise at how good and clean the rooms areUnfortunately I can't post picturesThere is 1 review that I agree withNo clean roomsRoom like a prison cell with bars on the windowsVery noisy and the staff started vacuuming the stairs at half past six in the morningBreakfast was also a jokeBut yes I have given the hotel a 2 on Zoover, the only thing that was good is the location, but that is allMake up eat you start!!

Sabrina: Very friendly and warm welcome. 2 people speak French at the receptionThe hotel is well located near Republica and Termini station. They also keep the luggage and make the 5th floor available to have a coffee or eat our sandwichesThe room was very clean, spacious, well decorated. The premises are quiet and well soundproofed. We had a TV problem but the team is really very responsive. The people serving breakfast and the buffet are very nice, helpful and smiling. We feel like home

Linda Purves: I loved staying at this hotel. All the staff are so kind and helpful. It’s very handy to everything. Lovely breakfast and roof top cafe. Nice warm room. Perfect

David “D.” qu: Very professional reception, very nice service at breakfast. The breakfast was very extensive and had a large selection. Every morning we could have breakfast on the great roof terrace in the sun.The location was ideal for easy access to all sights. The got to Termini was very good for arrival and departure. I would like to particularly emphasize the always friendly and multilingual staff at the reception that made a lot of things easier for us. We were always able to help with questions or for a tip to go to eat or for a good place to watch the sunset. There is only one star deduction because the taps in the bathroom were calcified and the shower curtain didn't close completely, as did one of the two shutters.Nearby activities: Either almost everything can be reached on foot in 15 minutes or the metro and bus are right around the corner.Safety: Located in a very safe and reputable neighborhoodWalkability: Either almost everything can be reached on foot in 15 minutes or the metro and bus are right around the corner.Food & drinks: Very good breakfast. Bar and food very good and extensive

Ulrich Patzwald: Really a great place. You might think it's family run.The staff tries really hard to fulfill every wish.

Susanne Gehrke: We always recommend the Hotel Columbia! To be highlighted is the incredibly nice and courteous staff! We say very specifically: Thank you, Anke!!! The room was wonderful with a terrace overlooking busy Via Viminale. The beds were excellent, cleanliness excellent. Good breakfast, the sun terrace on the 5th floor was great! You can tell that the Columbia is run with a lot of love and heart. The central location in the immediate vicinity of the Termini train station and as a starting point for numerous activities is another plus point. I hope we will come back soon!!!

Assolutamente consigliato.Grazie mille

Chang Min Lee (Haribossam): The location and breakfast are so good. The downside is that the room is small compared to the price.Rooms: It's a bit narrow, but I'm still satisfiedNearby activities: It's good to take the city bus, and I like that it's close to Termini StationSafety: There are a few homeless people around Termini Station, but it's still safe.

Stephanie Glenn: Loved our quick stay — the proximity to the train station was PERFECT for getting into the city from the airport and then again onto our train out of the city.

ahmed bassam: Excellent5 starOur family stayed at NH collection plazzo Cinquecento hotel in Rome , for 8 nights. We requested higher floor and rooms with a view , and the hotel provided for our request. The hotel , in general , is modern / elegant and well kept. Our stay was comfortable and the service was excellent .The hotel rooms were spacious with larg and functional bathrooms. The houskeeping service was excellent .The location , is one of the strongest points of this hotel , with a walking proximity to Roma termini

Lisa Chau: . Otherwise, location is pretty central and you can get to the main attractions within a 15-30 min scooter ride. Upon check in, the booking was under my name and we ran the security deposit on my card, however Gulia was addressing my boyfriend instead of me the entire time we were checking in which I thought was weird. Felt like I was the one tagging along. The rooms are a a okay size, and I liked their expansive QR help system - I put in a request for an adapter and it came within minutes. Breakfast was included with my booking but we never got a chance to try it as it ended around 10am. We stayed here for two nights before going to Positano and stayed at Palazzo Montemartini across the street when we came back to Rome. The price per night was about the same for both hotels, but the rooms and service at Palazzo Montemartini was more worth the money IMO.

Michael Cook: Great hotel with very nice rooms in a wonderful location for tourists relying on walking and/or planning to utilize the high speed train network at Roma Termini. Within walking distance of Roma Termini and the Coliseum.Rooms: We stayed in two different rooms during our trip. Both were nice rooms but the second was substantially larger.Nearby activities: We were able to walk to the Coliseum and Roman Forum from this hotel.Walkability: There are many restaurants and gelaterie within walking distance. It is a short walk to Roma Termini where you can catch high speed trains to all over Italy. The Coliseum and Roman Forum are within walking distance.Food & drinks: Breakfast was quite delicious. Dinner service did not meet our expectations and we preferred a small restaurant just up the block from the hotel.

Vera Hellstern: Very nice place.Very friendly and helpful staff.Room was very clean and nice.Breakfast very, very good. Location is very good.Only to recommend. We will be back.Rooms: Very goodFood & drinks: Excellent

Raccomandato.

SangYeob Jeong: Family trip to Europe this summerStayed for a while in Rome.Close to Termini Station, so when in-out of the cityExcellent access to the station. It's on the main street, so it's relatively safe even late at night.Late check-out is possible, so when going out of Romeplan for the day orMaintenance before departure is also easy.Rooms: Considering the distance from Rome's main tourist attractionsRoom size and facilities are excellent.Nearby activities: Convenient access to other areas outside of Rome,Easy access to several commercial facilities in Termini Station

Kelly Norton: .Check-in and check-out were easy, the beds are really comfortable, it wasn't a loud room

Kirsten Öden: From the outside inconspicuous but inside and in the rooms everything was well maintained, modern, friendly staff. Breakfast costs 14 euros but it is also worth it. Rich and tasty selection.Rooms: Double room big enough. table kettle. Air conditioner. Bathroom with bathtub.Walkability: About 5 minutes away from Termini train station.

Jacqueline Chien: Nice hotel and service 👍

Lily: It was a 5-minute walk from Termini Station, so it was very convenient, and the room was in good condition. However, there was no lock in the bathroom, and it was a bit noisy because the surrounding area was a station.Walkability: The surrounding security is not good, but it wasn't enough to be concerned about. I arrived around 11pm, but I checked in safely.

Tim: I will be a return customer. I had no issues with this hotel. The only complaint I had is that there is no LAUDRY. If you're staying for an extended period, the laundry mat is a few blocks away.Rooms: Small and tired looking but very functional. It's a hotel room in Rome, for God's sake people they are going to be small! You're in Italy.Walkability: Just a few minutes walk from the train station, nice and close

Mie Andersen: Nearby activities: It's very closed to the famous monument, main station, and easy to access many historical site. It's great.Safety: It seemed like safety inside of the hotel.Walkability: It's very closed to main station, shops, restaurants, and more. I love it.

marta: Good location, very good service and according to the prices. The breakfast could be improved, but it's ok.Rooms: The rooms are in line with the price, they have a fully equipped bathroom, air conditioning... perfect.Nearby activities: Very close to the center where all the points of interest are located, around 1km awayFood & drinks: Good breakfast service although sometimes the pastries were a bit dry.

Reyna Pallarta Cuenca: The place is super close to the Termini terminal, very convenient to go anywhere and even to the airportRooms: Large room with air conditioning

Régis Béguin: Great location!Nearby activities: CLOSE TO TERMINI STATION

荻野スグル: .I also had breakfast, but there are many types and there is no problem with the taste. The blood orange juice was delicious! The only thing is that the entrance is stairs, so if you have a carry bag, you have to lift 7 to 8 steps, so it's hard.Overall it looks like a good hotel!

Jose Reyes: To compose, it was a nice hotel. The location was good, and the walkability was good. The rooms were nice enough for us, with a great view, and the breakfast included just basic things, no eggs.that was about it. The service was a little confusing, but I think it's just in the general personality of Roman people.Walkability: Easy to go around just be careful with the thief

William Orange: Short walking distance from the Rome termini and a 24 hour reception for check in! The hotel is historic but provides everything that you need! We arrived very late at night and we’re able to check in and have our room. The next morning we were able to eat then store our bags after check out, bravo

Claudia G Frits: It has been a great experience! The hotel is clean and very good situated. The breakfast is delicious and all the staff is really kind, polite and gentle. It has been an amazing week with all of you!I'll miss your "Buongiorno's" and "Buonasera's" 🤣 Arrivederci Roma 💘

JH Sun: First of all, the location is the best. It takes 3-4 minutes to drag the carrier to Termini Station. There were many restaurants and shops on the way from the station to the hotel, so it was not dangerous even if I went there late at night. For places like the Colosseum or Plaza de España, you can call a taxi to Free Now in front of the hotel and move. The staff are also very friendly. It was nice that breakfast was free.I stayed in the Superior Double Room, which was big, clean and nice. Relax comfortably for 3 nights and 4 days.If I go to Rome again, I want to stay at Una Hotel.

keizo tabaru: ▼RoomClean, no stains. Soundproofing is good and you can't hear any noise from the next room. However, you can hear some voices and sounds outside because it is a downtown area.▼ LocationBecause it is close to Termini station, it is safe even if you have a suitcase. We highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Rome!

katsu s: Used in the JTB course before the corona disaster.I think it was good to have good access wherever you go! !The hotel was beautiful! !

Mads Sørensen: We naturally contact the reception, as it seemed a bit strange, and looked quite violent. The receptionists also looked a little strange at the pictures we had taken, and it didn't take many minutes before an employee was on his way up to look at the broken floor, as well as take the last rubbish out, and then everything was super fine again

Enrico Höppner: Absolutely great hotel, easy to get to. The center of Rome is easily accessible both on foot and by metro. Don't be put off by the dingy impression of the station area, just one side street away it's different.Breakfast was great, great serviceWalkability: Easily accessible by subwayCenter easily accessible on foot

DETOUR SANS: I had a very happy stay. All the staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. It was close to the station, so it was easy to get around. There were a lot of immigrants around one thing, so the appearance around the accommodation was more like an American alley than the streets of Rome that Jae thought.

Lauryn Brice: the swimming pool is not bad even if the water for the shower and the pool water is relatively quite cold. The room was clean spacious. We ate twice at the hotel restaurant which is very good, the breakfast is very well stocked whether on the salty or sweet side. We also tried the spa which is 25€ per person for 2 hours you should know that it takes 4€ more for bathing caps and between 25€ and not far from 100€ for an extra massage, this is not Wasn't really the best for only 25€ we left after 1 hour.

kana (ネコヘンタイ): I used it on a tour. It was really nice to be able to stay at a hotel with a pool in Rome. When I was tired from sightseeing, I entered the pool and was able to relax while drinking a drink by the pool.Sunbathing was very pleasant in early JuneFood & drinks: breakfast was delicious

Katrien Hebb: the old city wall. So you have a view of the history from the sun terrace. You also stay in a piece of history because the building used to be a monastery. In the former church of the monastery, the bar

Fabien Clary: A lovely stay a couple of years ago but I forgot to review the hotel.Hotel is well situated in Rome. It was for a professional trip. The design of the room is modern and simple, just as I like it!Front staff was always friendly and helping. If you want an address to stay in Rome, it's there! And on top of that, their restaurant on the roof with an amazing view of the city.

Nikita Sobolev: There is everything you need to stay comfortably. A bit pricey but solid option

Yinxin He: Very close to the city center. You can reach Vatican within 1 hour on foot.I stayed on the 6th floor. There's only 1 bath room aka toilet for 8 people so it's a bit tricky, but I didn't have any problem. The staff was nice in general. There's free coffee every morning from 7:30 till 11am. The elevator is quite small though, just enough for 2 thin people. Nothing uncomfortable occurred during my stay, I spent most of the time outside. Though I was ok with every thing, for the facilities it was a bit pricey, but I guess it's just Rome.7/10

hervey lafenetre: It was perfect!!!Good service and great room!!!Well located right in front of a large beach!!

Damin Musavolta: OCT.2022I stayed normally.

Saptarshi Jana: Very friendly staff. Clean and compact rooms. Kitchen & sitting area is there at the ground. Free coffee in the morning.Rooms: Rooms are little small. 4 beds study table chairs. Locker can accommodate small bags only.

Agustina Perez: Excellent stay, attention and flexibility.I recommend 10% for the location and price. The attention of the guys at the reception stood out, some geniuses, always well predisposed, provided local recommendations and very attentive.

Claudio Fragoso: Walkability: Próximo da Estação Roma Termini, bons restaurantes próximos, muito prático.Hotel highlights Great value …

JOKKEE: The staff was really great, the hotel is really well located and has an interesting interior design. The only issue is that some things were worn down so maybe they should invest into a little bit of renovating.Overall for the price of 790€ for 3 rooms I would recommend this hotel.Walkability: The hotel is located near everything.

George Barbalho: Pleasant location. Polite and patient service with people who don't dominate much English and don't know anything about Italian. We arrived well before the check-in time and the receptionist made us feel at ease, with the possibility of even storing our bags and entering the room before the check-in time. They even helped us a lot by informing us about the best routes and ways to take public transport in the city. The defect of the room are the few sockets for electronic equipment, but otherwise it has a great location, look and space for a double room.

Mariam Shetsiruli: I liked staying at Orange Inn, the location was indeed perfect. Located near Vatican City, easy walkable distance from Ottaviano Metro Station, close to the restaurants, grocery, souvenir, pharmacy and clothing stores. After we arrived to the hotel from the airport, we realized that we booked our stay incorrectly. We went in February and our reservation was made for March. The staff kindly asked us to wait for the manager, as we came during the lunch break, she was out. She offered us to rest in the lobby and took care of our bags. After some waiting we were able to check in and rest in our rooms. Room was as described in the photos, cleaning was done everyday. Plus, when we had issues with the conditioning system, the staff came to our rescue once again. Would recommend.

Sneha Motavar: Very good service! Recommendable and excellent customer service. Very very very polite and kind staff. Always had a smile on their face. This was our first time in Rome and first time staying in the Orange Hotel, loved the location as well. Amazing service, Much appreciated.

Joaquin Torres: poorly maintained bathroom. Friendly staff.Rooms: Pleasant only problem the noise from the street is noticeableNearby activities: Several shops nearby

Luiziana Gavrilove: Excellent hotel, very good service, pleasant atmosphere, clean and quiet, close to the Colosseum, a 5-minute walk. Restaurants near the place. The boutique hotel is located on an internal street but is nevertheless convenient, there is also parking on the street for those who rent a car. Dining room on the 4th floor with a little view of the Coliseum. I liked the hotel, there is a gym, a safe in the drawer, internet, a safe, air conditioning, refreshments and drinks in the fridge, a window that opens in the room, shampoo, hair conditioner and body soap, toothbrushes, tissues and more. Lovely hotel, recommended.Music in the background on the roof, very polite and professional staff.

Todd Wilson: Wow! This was the absolute BEST hotel of our trip. Our room was large with a fantastic King bed, beautiful bathroom and walk in shower... so nice after a long day of walking ancient Rome!Breakfast up on the miranda was wonderful and the nightcap on the rooftop bar just topped our day off.Service was impeccable...except one particular front desk guy who was a bit chauvinistic toward my wife...but that might have just been the Italian culture to a bit.Did I mention the Hotel Capo d'Africa has A/C? Kind of important when you visit Rome in the hot summer...temps pushed over 100 degrees while we were there! From this hotel, it is about a 3 block walk to the corner where you see the Giant Colosseum towering over the city. Then down the hill and around the corner is the Hop On Hop Off bus stop... that could have been a bit closer, but you need to expect a lot of walking when you visit Rome.Rooms: Excellent bed. Great walkin shower. Plenty of room.Walkability: It's a bit of a hike from the nearest bus stop. But this is NOT a reason to avoid this hotel...unless you aren't a capable walker...but Rome kind of requires that.Food & drinks: Breakfast was fantastic!Roof top bar is chillax and a very nice way to unwind after a long day in Rome!

Michael P. Hill: This hotel's staff really stands out. All of the staff I dealt with were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are very nice, though the bathrooms feel a bit dated. There is noticeable discoloring in some of the seals and grout that is a bit unpleasant, though it doesn't necessarily feel dirty.Accessibility: Accessible room 206 has a huge entryway and bathroom that's well equipped. It even has an additional bathroom that is not accessible, but nice to have. The bedroom area is smaller, however, and was tight to maneuver with a wheelchair.Even if you're not a wheelchair user, the standard rooms have a significant "step up" for the tub-shower and shower stalls that I saw, which could be difficult for some to maneuver.

Borio Sylvie: they were all very caring with great kindness, it's a shame that after all these years I forgot the names, will they, will they still be there... I have wonderful memories of this hotel, and I highly recommend it

Keith Cooper: Lovely hotel and the gentlemen in reception and the restaurant were helpful and courteous with a smile. Food was great although we turned up one evening at the restaurant to be told there was a corporate event, previous notice would have been good.Rooms: Air conditioning was great

Karen M: Fantastic hotel. We came here for the first time 16 years ago on our honeymoon, this time we’re back with our son. They gave us room 219, which is the only room with a balcony, it’s situated right over the front entrance. It’s a very quiet neighbourhood. Our room had very tall windows and blackout curtains. Ther was a safe, the showers water pressure was strong, the maid service was excellent- they gave us a personalized note and chocolates. We also got a welcome bottle of Prosecco in our room and 3 Welcome drinks at the bar.Breakfast was not included in our rate.I loved their pomegranate water at reception.I can’t wait to come back here again the next time I am in Rome.

Concetta Solito: Refined and elegant hotel, in the heart of the city, excellent menu..attentive and helpful staff .. Nice experience to be repeated. Thank you
